Bleached Star Headband
By now, you’ve probably noticed that I’m on a bleach kick this week. I made some red napkins with stars, some blue tea towels with stars, and now this, a blue headband with stars. I made this when I made the tea towels. I had an extra towel so I just used a paintbrush to paint stars on the towel. After the bleach dried, I washed and dried the towel, cut it into strips, and that’s it. It’s a little short, but it’s long enough to tie in a knot on top of the head, or underneath. The rustic look of the hand painted stars is making me smile this week. You could use this same technique with a fabric scrap that’s long enough to tie into a headband. There are a million different designs you could make for this project. Try it!
