Since Dr. Seuss’ birthday would have been this week, I wanted to share this gift bag idea with you. I gave this to one of our theater friends when she was in Seussical, the Musical. All you need to do to make this gift bag is buy some kraft bags from the dollar store, cut out some felt in the shape you’d like, and glue it to the bag. I used Elmer’s Tacky Glue for all the gluing in this project. For the ribbon at the top, I ran some thread through the ribbon to gather it, then tied a knot in the ribbon at each end. I glued buttons along the bottom and glued the ribbon across the top, adding glue only to each end of the ribbon.
These would be fun to make in the classroom this week to use for carrying home all the reading themed projects that are often done at school during Dr. Seuss’ birthday week.
