This set was a gift for my daughter when she was little, made by my dad and painted by my mom to match the cradle that they restored here. Maddie had hundreds {maybe thousands} of tea parties with her dolls at this table.

My mom made the homemade doll for Maddie, too. This is the doll she named Barbecue. I really tried to get her to pick another name. But no luck. She’s Barbecue.

This is one of those gifts that Maddie still loves, even though she hasn’t played with dolls in years. Being handmade by people she loves makes this a treasure.
