I hope you’ve all had a fun long weekend. For our Labor Day dinner, my husband made ice cream from our homemade vanilla. It was delicious. We learned to make vanilla here. We used vodka, which we found on the clearance rack at the grocery store. We used the vanilla beans that our grocery store had, too. I believe the beans were from Madagascar. Instead of transferring the liquid to another jar, we just put the beans right in the vodka bottle. (We had to pour a little out to make room.) It was a fun project, and I think we’ll do it again.
