Robert Sabuda is one of my favorite artists. We have several of his pop-up books and they are amazing. He creates intricate scenes that come to life when you open the pages of his books. These books are more than books, they are art. And art should be displayed. So here’s the solution I came up with. I use a plate stand. This one happens to be from the happiest place on earth, hence the Mickey Mouse ears. It reminds us of another favorite artist. The plate stand is sitting on our mantle, and I change out the book or the scene every now and then. At Christmas I put out one of the Christmas Sabuda books. There’s a great patriotic book that I use around 4th of July, and several story books that I use all year.

The Wonderful Wizard of Oz

Maria, they are really cool books for anyone, but for people with artistic/engineering abilities they are especially inspiring. Once you see them you don’t want to close them!
