Ribbon Placemats and Napkins Tutorial

Here’s a simple idea to freshen up your table for the new year.

I love table linens and this is a great way to update your dining table without spending lots of money. Start with placemats and napkins from the dollar store. Sew on Ribbon. You will be limited by what your dollar store has in terms of colors for the placemats and napkins, but once you see what they have, pick out some ribbon that will match both the napkins and the placemats you got. I got my ribbon at Hobby Lobby. If you go there, make sure you wait for a week when the ribbon is 50% off! That way, you don’t have to worry about getting matching napkins and placemats; the ribbon ties is altogether. (Punny, I know.)

These also make sweet gifts and would be great to give as a housewarming gift.
