Ruffled Tote Bag
I saw this over at The Painted Parsonage and immediately wanted to make one for myself.
I had a denim tote on hand, so that’s what I used. It originally came from Hobby Lobby. I gathered some fabric scraps from my collection and came up with my own version of the tote while watching the US Open on television on Labor Day. Three of my favorite things collided: tennis, ruffles, and my grandmother’s sewing machine. It was a great way to spend my afternoon. I hope you’ll give it a try!

I LOVE this. Def going into my Pinterest
Thanks! I’d love to see a photo of your bag, once you make it!
VERY CUTE!!
Thanks!
Cute bag, will defintely also do these. Was going to take all the jeans I have saved and make the ladies bags anyway. Can also sew jeans into any kind of purse. Cut off the tops of jeans straight across at the crotch and then belt a rope thru the loops to make a gathered closure after sewing the bottom shut. Also going to make all the old jeans into camp and hardware bags for men.
I can’t wait to see how yours turn out!
