Upcycled Button Bobby Pin
It’s time for Wear It On Your Head Wednesday! For today’s accessory I started with this metal button that had a loop on the back of it. I thought I’d use wire cutters to snip it off, but when I started to squeeze on the cutters, the loop moved and I was able to just pull it out of the back of the button without cutting anything.
I did bend the back of the button in the process of pulling the loop out, so I had to use a hammer to flatten it again so I’d have a good gluing surface.
Then I used E6000 Glue to glue the button onto a bobby pin blank and let it dry for a day. Here’s how it looks:

Love it! Such a good idea! Hello from Sundae Scoop Link Party…:-)
Thanks so much, Olya! I hope you give it a try!
I am always wearing bobby pins. I will have to take a look through my collection of buttons to create something similar. Love a great upcycled project! Visiting from the Bowdabra Blog link party.
I’d love to see yours when you make it, Sarah! Upcycling is one of my favorite things to do, too.
I love this idea, and I am thinking some cute steam punk style decorations now…

Steam punk style would be great for this! Good idea.
