This is an apron I made for a gift. The fabric came from some curtains that used to hang in my last house, and some scraps from other projects. I made matching kitchen towels to go with it, buying the towels at the dollar store and then embellishing them with fabric to match the apron. It was really hard to give these away because I love how they turned out. I hope there will be many goodies made while she is wearing this apron!

  5. I love how they turned out too! I’m ashamed to admit it because I like to think of myself as thrifty, but it never occurred to me to look for dish towels to embellish from the dollar store (especially in such a pretty shade of blue). I’ll have to try that!
